A lifelong technophile, Troy Bolotnick brings a unique blend of technical, business and creative experience to his roles in Sales, System Design and Management for Interior Technologies. With a focus on research and development as well as vendor and client relationships, Troy uses his deep industry knowledge to develop new, integrated design concepts while simultaneously speaking both English and Geek – bridging the gap between technical and human for vendors and clients alike.
Having been at the forefront of the convergence of media and technology for nearly 20 years, Troy’s experience includes tenure in the entertainment and advertising industries and as a pioneer of online interactivity in the early 1990′s. He also co-founded and served as President for Ionic Worldwide Studios, where he was charged with conceptualizing new forms of interactive entertainment technology and shaping unique programming models for existing and emerging interactive television platforms. Additionally, Troy co-founded and served as president of LightSpeed Media, a successful new media production company, as well as served as Senior Vice President of Production for America Online’s Entertainment Asylum. Leading a staff of over 75 production and technology personnel while there, he oversaw creative conception, user experience and interface design and the company’s technological and programming strategies.
Widely recognized by peers and premier manufacturers in the custom systems integration industry as an expert and industry leader, Troy is a CEDIA Certified Professional Designer (CCPD), ISF Certified Video Systems Expert, HAA Level II Acoustics Guru and a Licensed California Contractor. He holds a long list of manufacturer and product based certifications including Crestron, Lutron and Control4. He is regarded as an authoirity on integrated electronic system architecture, design, engineering, management, user interface and installation.
Troy is the proud author of several produced creative works. These do not include the 2 motion pictures he co-authored, both of which he would prefer you never saw. Or as his Uncle put it “I can’t believe my name is on this crap!”
A member of Phi Beta Kappa, Troy graduated from Binghamton University in New York with a BA in creative writing and a minor in Russian language and literature. Troy lives in Woodland Hills with his wife Michelle (who he refers to as Superwoman) and their 2 children.
